This outdoor fall session at the Edgar’s home was so special. Carrie (or “KiKi” as my kids lovingly call her) has had my girls three years in a row at daycare—ever since we moved to Georgia in fall of 2021. My oldest daughter was in her class two years in a row and now—because my two daughters are so close in age—she has had my youngest in her class this year!

Carrie’s husband, Jeff, has had numerous brain surgeries, so capturing this family together felt even more meaningful than typical. Because standing was difficult for him, we were able to move an outdoor bench around so he could remain sitting for their photos. I was so impressed when, at the end of the session, he decided to get one photo of the whole family standing together!

Carrie asked when we were preparing for the session if we could include their dogs in some of the photos as well. I told her I am always up for including pets! I think it’s so special to include them. It must’ve been hilarious to watch us as we tried to get both of them to look at the camera at the same time, but we did it!
