Jeremy + Bekah’s fall session in Canton, Georgia, was so beautiful! The changing colors of fall creates such a magical backdrop for photos that almost makes them seem like a painting. Add in a lake + ohhh man, you have yourself some dreamy looking photos. When I asked them if they had a location in mind they mentioned that they had seen their neighbors take photos at their neighborhood lake for years + finally decided it was their turn! It had been sunny all day, but literally right as we arrived for the session clouds came over + created such perfect diffused light!
It is always so inspiring for me to see couples who have gone through some big ups + downs in life and through it all, you can see their deep love for each other. Jeremy + Bekah are that couple. Their love for the Lord, each other, + others is so evident. I’ve actually been a firsthand recipient of their sacrificial love for others. A few years ago, my husband + I, along with our 5 year old, 2 year old, and 4 month old, were moving within the Atlanta area. We had arranged for a whole crew of people to help us move and packing up the truck went pretty quick + smooth.
As we were preparing to leave our old house to drive to our new house, though, several people mentioned they weren’t able to help us unpack at our new house (a 45 minute drive away). We figured, no worries–it will go slower with fewer people but we would manage. However, as we made the drive there, the last couple of people called us + said they didn’t realize how far the drive was and that they wouldn’t be able to help unload after all, due to other commitments that evening. By the time we pulled up to our house, we had nobody to help us unload the truck.
We tried not to panic, but with me being so newly postpartum, I was not confident in my ability to lift + move some of the really heavy furniture. Not to mention–it was already dinner time + we had three small children who needed to eat, be entertained so as to not get in the way, and get to bed before midnight–hah! At this time, we knew of only two families who lived even remotely close enough to help out + gave them both a call. Praise the Lord–they both said YES and that they would be over quickly to help unload. Jeremy + Bekah was one of those families! They both helped unload the truck + then Jeremy even drove behind my husband as he went to return the moving truck and then drove him back home, so that I could stay home and put the kids to bed.
So when I say they have hearts of absolute gold–I really mean it! I will literally never forget how they saved us that day. Funny enough–it was actually almost a year later from that story that we took these photos. What an honor it truly was to get to capture them + their love for each other!
